The West Camden WRP upgrade involves end to end delivery of all works from design to construction, process proving, commissioning, operation and maintenance. The upgrade is set to double the plant’s capacity, ensuring that population growth in the catchment is environmentally sustainable – both in volume and by producing high quality recycled water for agricultural and recreation use in the local area. Astrea was responsible for the delivery of key pipework and associated mechanical components.
Installation of pipe supports and the HDPE splitter boxes; Painting of containment pipes in accordance with WSA201 and Sydney Water supplement to WSA 201 with an ACL coating type; Colours as per SWC Mechanical Specs; Supply & Installation of pipe labels as per SWC Mechanical Specs and AS 1345; Supply & Installation of HDPE Boxes; Mechanical Specs and AS 1345; Supply & Installation of HDPE Boxes.
Supply & installation of above-ground schedule 80 uPVC pipework, pipe supports and saddles as per IFC drawings; Solvent cement welding of schedule 80 pipe as per SWC and manufacturers specifications and installation guides; Supply and installation of all pipework required for tie-ins; Hydrostatic Pressure testing and flushing of pipework on site prior to commissioning; Installation of actuators, pressure release value (PRVs), flowmeters and instruments.
